Leicester City: Enzo Maresca Appointed Manager

New Era Begins at the King Power Stadium

Enzo Maresca has been appointed as the new manager of Leicester City, following the departure of Brendan Rodgers. The Italian coach, who was previously assistant manager at Manchester City, has signed a three-year contract with the Foxes.

Maresca's Impressive Pedigree

Maresca is a highly respected coach with a wealth of experience at the highest level. He has worked alongside Pep Guardiola at Manchester City for the past four years, helping the club to win three Premier League titles, two EFL Cups, and an FA Cup.

Prior to his time at City, Maresca was manager of Ascoli in Serie B and Sevilla in La Liga. He also had a successful playing career, representing Italy at youth level and playing for clubs such as Juventus, Fiorentina, and Malaga.

A New Chapter for Leicester City

Maresca's appointment marks a new chapter for Leicester City. The Foxes have had a disappointing season under Rodgers, finishing eighth in the Premier League and failing to qualify for any European competition.

Maresca will be tasked with rebuilding the team and restoring Leicester City to their former glories. He will be hoping to emulate the success of Claudio Ranieri, who led the Foxes to a remarkable Premier League title triumph in 2016.

Maresca's first game in charge of Leicester City will be a pre-season friendly against Sevilla on July 19. The Foxes will then begin their Premier League campaign at home to Brentford on August 12.
